About Be Wild AcuVet
Compassionate, evidence-based veterinary acupuncture rooted in a deep commitment to animal welfare.
What Does It Mean to Be Wild?
The name Be Wild is at the heart of our philosophy.
Being wild does not simply mean living in the wild. It means being able to express the natural behaviours that make an animal themselves. Every species — and every individual — has its own way of doing this.
For one animal, that might mean running after a favourite ball again. For another, it may be climbing onto the sofa, hopping and foraging in the garden, grooming comfortably, exploring their surroundings, flying confidently, or simply getting up more easily in the morning.
Pain, chronic disease and stress can gradually make these everyday behaviours more difficult. Sometimes the changes are subtle: an animal may play less, hesitate before jumping, move more slowly, explore less, or quietly stop doing things they once enjoyed.
Our aim is to help reduce the barriers that prevent animals from expressing their natural behaviour and enjoying their everyday lives. When comfort and function improve, those small but important pieces of personality may begin to return.
This philosophy is closely connected to fundamental principles of animal welfare: reducing unnecessary pain and distress, supporting comfort and quality of life, and giving animals the opportunity to express normal, species-appropriate behaviour.
That is what Be Wild means — helping animals feel comfortable enough to move, explore, interact and simply be themselves.
Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the comfort, mobility and quality of life of companion and exotic animals through compassionate, evidence-based veterinary acupuncture, delivered in the place where many animals feel safest — their own home.
By combining veterinary knowledge with an individual, low-stress approach, we aim to support each animal as a whole — not simply focusing on a condition, but on the everyday activities and natural behaviours that matter to them.
Because improving comfort is not only about reducing pain. It is about helping animals get back to doing the things that make them themselves.
More comfort. More movement. More of what makes them who they are.
